• On one end of the realm, death regins. A whole stretch of vegetation and crops have withered, while numerous fell sick to all sort of illness. A smell of decay lingers in the air, and the number of the deads are uncountable. On the other end, there is a whole stretch of overgrowth. Calves are born with too many limbs, roots have sprung from the ground, crushing small houses and entangling castles. Paved roads are torn, travel is hindered and some even have died with trees growing through them. If one examines both stretches, they seem to be heading towards each other.

    1. A cult has successfully in summoning an Avatar of Death into the realm, but failed to retain control of it. It now walks the realm unchecked, making a beeline for the a fabled ‘heart-stone’ of the realm. It is an ancient place of ritual which would amplify the raw power of magical beings. A group of foolhardy adventurers, realising what have been done, have released the Avatar of Life. Unfortunately, the lure of the heart-stone broke any control they have over the Avatar, and it too marches toward the heart-stone. No one knows for sure what will happen when both Avatars meet the heart-stone, but some claimed that this will lead to a diaster that could completely destroy the realm.
    2. Visiting the ruined cities, villages and other sites left by the wake of the two magical disaster, the adventurers would be able to find certain standing stones, usually mundane, suddenly charged with magical powers. Whatever is happening, two powerful beings are fighting over those stones, seeking to charge it with their powers. Perhaps it is a plan for something sinister; perhaps it is just a game to two superior beings. The adventurers, by studying those stones and perhaps copying down the sigils which once hidden, are now present for all to see, would be able to find out who are the two entities involved, and beseech or otherwise convince them to stop.
    3. A war beyond the kin of anyone is going to take place soon, and this is just the staking of terrority. Two ancient entities have awaken, at the same time, and are preparing to resume their age old conflicts. The stretches where all things die and where all things are infused with life are boundaries. Once the boundaries are completed, the two of them would let loose their fury. If the adventurers dare, they can trace the stretches of devastation (in either form) to find one of those entities and persuade them to stop. However, both are stubborn and unreasonable, but that would change if the adventurers discover how they were confined in the first place, and found out how they could do it again. Or, the adventurers could side with one of the entities to further their goals…
