• The princess has disappeared! However, this time round it is a faerie princess, and the faeries do not go about approaching this with a mass hunt. Territorial in nature, the infringing of another faerie kingdom would break delicate alliances and long-sworn oaths. The PCs, if well known for their subtlety, would be approached for help.

    1. The Elven Princess has strayed into the woodlands realm of another Elven faction, and a prince has fallen into love with her, and made her a guest of honour. The Princess herself is reluctant to leave but her presence there breach an alliance with another Elven Kingdom, for she has been betrothed to another prince. However, the two has fall madly in love…and all this thanks to the ploy of a mischievous imp who arranged the Princess’ wandering and her meeting with the Prince. Is there some sort of master-plan to bring war to the Elves?
    2. The “disappearance” was a deliberate escape by the Princess. A powerful seer and mystic, the Princess has foresee disaster befalling a small village at the foot of the forest; the people there are decent, peace-loving folks and respect the old fay gods of the land. Not being sure of the nature of the disaster, she has leave her realm in search of the Cernwood Pool, which is reputed to allow those who has the Gift of Foresight to see the future much clearly. Alas, a hobgoblin has seized control of the Pool and in the magical battle that followed, the Princess was injured. She would need help to recover, gain control of the Pool and avert certain doom for the village…and perhaps her own faerie realm as well.
    3. Despite being the princess of an Elven King, she herself is mortal; she was found at the edge of the forest during a particularly harsh winter. The Elven King found the babe, and thought her beautiful and out of pity adopted the daughter as one of his own (to find out why he did that is perhaps a quest in itself). The young lady, fully grown, was always aware that she was different and has ventured out of the safety of the forest to explore the villages and towns nearby. She was just absorbed in her exploration that she had forgotten about home for a while, and she was more than able to protect herself. However, being unaccustomed to the human ways, she have caused quite a lot of trouble in her path. Tracking the “disturbances” would lead her to a major city where the young mortal Princess of the Elves have found her former parents…
