• Within a small town the strangest things have been happening – one by one, each of them has committed atrocious crimes and were either killed or imprisoned. The list of wrongdoings range from petty thefts to outright murder. Each time the culprit is apprehended, he or she appeared to be dazed, unable to recall what he or she was doing – yet without fail, they have all admitted that if given a chance, they would do exactly what they have done. Some are even happy about that!

    1. A spirit believing itself to be on a noble mission has been peering into the minds of the people of the town, knowing their thoughts and their darkest secrets. Those who are really comprehending harm or anything foul-natured and pretending to be not otherwise attracts the spirit’s attention – it would possess those people and made them give in to their subconscious whims. The spirit believes that he is an agent of truth, revealing the true intent behind the mask wore by others. However, he is also causing chaos in the community. Will the adventurers be able to track down the spirit and perhaps reason with it? Or do they have to exorcise it? Where does this spirit comes from, anyway?
    2. A group of priests have entered the town, bringing with a relic interned on an abandoned church nearby which lies on the high mountains. It is the skull of Saint Derosi, once a judge but then turn to religion in his older ages. This relic has the ability to remove pretenses and compels people to act the way they really wanted to be. The purpose of the relic was to test the integrity of initiates and has its power restrained by a warding circle placed by a sorcerer-friend of the Saint. Now removed from the church, it is wreaking havoc on people’s lives. The skull would have to be returned to the church, if for one night two of the priests murdered their brethens and fled off with it to a nearby cave…for some purpose…
    3. Many of those who has committed those crimes were also doing notorious deeds behind people’s back. One is a smuggler of slaves, the other a swindler in hiding and one who has killed out of sheer jealously. The community has somehow attracted all those people with dark backgrounds (though not all villagers are guilty of some wrong-doing). Whatever that draws those “refugees of justice” here has now prompted them to remove their masks, fully revealing their nature. The answer is simple – the village was found as a cover-up for a den of thieves, and over the ages have guarded a stash which the ghosts would not give up. They somehow called out to others of such nature to join them. However, among the stash was a soul-stone which contain the spirit of a great evil, and he is now taking advantages of those people to commit those deeds. The crimes follow a certain pattern and a knowledgeable sorcerer may recognize it as a form of ritual…the adventurers may be some of those who are compelled to this place too!
