Once more, 10 more ideas for a dungeon. I am running dry on ideas and make have to do some research, reading around and so on to refresh my mind. So the next 10 ideas may come 2 or 3 weeks later. Gotta to give my brain a break now and then
- Nests of the Rocs: In the heights of the mountains, where rocs now dwelt but are now all dead. Their nests are gigantic and are filled with bones of men, large animals that have went extinct and large pretty objects that have caught the birds’ attention.
- Graveyard of the Dragons: A hollow crater where dragon bones are scattered all about. Did the dragons come here to die?
- Swarm Nests: The nest of a vicious insects that devoured animals to their bone, set within a series of caves, tunnels and hills. They would not venture into darkness and cramped space, and the adventurers must quickly run from one sheltered area to another.
- Giant Ant Tunnels: The tunnels are craved by ants, seemingly deserted but there are sound of a colony nearby. The adventurers must quickly find out how to avoid the ants and stick to the tunnels which are safe
- Secret Passageways Within City Walls: The builder of the city walls have set up a system of secret passages within the wall of a big city. This has been used by people who wish to escape, smugglers and wanted criminals. The system would lead one to major points in town.
- Four Fates of Mortal Man: A thematic dungeon revolving around the Chinese’s phases for mankind – “Birth”, “Age”, “Illness” and “Death”. To escape from the dungeon, or to get to the final area, the player must proceed into the right ‘phase’ in order to retrieve an item (An item from the “Birth”-themed dungeon to access the “Age”-themed dungeon, for example).
- Deserted Farm…with all its livestock gone wild. Horses are unfriendly, cattle feast upon each other and the shepherd dogs, once friendly, have become ravenous monsters.
- House of Murder: A haunted house where mundane objects are possessed malevolent spirits that seek to harm the adventurers and hidden traps are set everywhere
- The Treasure Pits: A series of pits leading downwards, which require the adventurers to do some rock climbing. A pit may lead to another pit and so on, and the troublesome thing is that it seems to be really hard to get back up.
- Sand-Choked Ruined City: A sandstorm has revealed a ruined city from an ancient times. Its design is strangely inhuman – doors are too high and too large, roads are not straight, but rather twisting and curving, and there are no staircases, but slopes which lead to one area.
