• A thin circular band of gold fixed with clear crystals on the sides, the Circlet of Clarity bestows the powers of perception upon its wearer. Ancient runes on its side say “Of all the burdens of the world, wisdom and knowledge are among the greatest.”

    Dragon Warriors Stats:
Intelligence increased to 18 (to 19, if previously 18) and the wearer gains ESP at 90% and Premonition at 75%. All illusions have a 90% chance of failing. The wearer also gains other boons: immunity to shock attacks, fright attacks, surprises, morale checks, attempt to control his mind and disguise attempts.

However, upon setting the circlet to his head, the character has a 1% chance of getting one insanity. For each passing day that he wears the circlet, the percentage increased by 5%. The check is made the moment the wearer puts on the circlet and the insanity takes place immediately at dusk – it is possible to have multiple insanities.

If the wearer is deprived of the circlet or stops wearing it, he is afflicted with the paranoia insanity for a number of days equal to twice the period he has worn the Circlet. (Wearing the circlet even once counts as wearing it for one day). The character will always want to wear the circlet if he has it, to fight off the paranoid insanity.

    Fate 3.0 Stats:
“I see the world differently”, Enhanced Senses, Enhanced Willpower, Prone to Insanity, Knowing is too great a burden, Paranoid (only if circlet is not being worn). Once worn, the wearer will always wish to wear the circlet.

    Altered Fate Stats
“I see the world differently” +2 (Common), Enhanced Senses +2 (Common), Enhanced Willpower +2 (Common), Prone to Insanity +3 (Frequent), Knowing is too great a burden +3 (Frequent, disability), Paranoid +3 (Always, disability, only if circlet is not being worn). Once worn, the wearer will always wish to wear the circlet.
