• The daughter of a minor nobleman who is to marry the son of  a powerful lord has been kidnapped! The bridegroom to be is naturally worried, the father of the daughter furious and everyone else in a mood of extreme anxiety. The kidnapper is believed to be a sorcerer, for he has somehow escaped with the bride while the lady was alone in her room. The adventurers, who were deemed to have experience with sorcery, are called in to track down this sorcerer, who has helpfully left a ransom note…

    1. Though everyone is in a sense of panic and anxiety, something is amiss. The nobleman and the lord don’t seem to be in a hurry to find the missing bridge though the bridegroom is hot-headed and insisted on leading men at once to storm into the forest where the sorcerer supposedly have a hide-out. The real truth is – the bride has been murdered, by the bridegroom’s own father. Lust has gotten the better of him but his attempts have indirectly caused the death of the daughter. The minor nobleman, terrified of the lord’s influence, has agreeded to hush up the incident. A few clues would lead to the truth, but how would the bridegroom, and the adventurers, deal with this?
    2. A jealous spirit haunted the manor house which the minor nobleman dwells. She died heartbroken, her betrothed leaving for another. She committed suicide and since none dwelling there could be married out. She has possessed the bride and brought her to ruined chapel deep within a forest. Unless the bridegroom come forth himself and pledged to be enslaved by the spirit, the bride will never be freed. There might be a way to dispel the spirit or to talk reason into her. Perhaps her betrothed still did love her in the end…if only the adventurers could find a way to prove that (For Dragon Warriors GM, you can treat the spirit as variant of a White Lady). The ransom note in this case is a poem written with blood, on the wall of the bride’s room.
    3. The bride has already escaped via an underground tunnel; the bridegroom, tired of nobility and the arena of politics, has decided to escape from it all. However, the bride was nowhere to be found at the planned meeting spot. Naturally, the bridegroom would not let this secret be known easily though it is easy to suspect that he knew more than he ought to. How does he know where the “sorcerer” dwells, for instance? Why did not he bother to read the ransom note? Most importantly of all, why is he trying desperately to find a way into the catacombs below? What happened, however, is this: one of the lord’s henchman has discovered the little couple’s secret and intend to hold the bride for ransom, so that he many manipulated the bridegroom as his pawn – the first which is to dispose of his father… Observant adventurers may notice one of the lord’s followers’ panic seems to be feigned.
