In the beginning there was the void. Perfect, still, without form or shape. Pangu’s Axe then cleaved the void into two and there springs into existence the Perfect Pair; One and Zeros. Sages from the North, South, East and West embraced the Tao of Computing but of the Tao of Games Development, who have yet understood?

The Tao of Games Development is as elusive as the wind. Its flight is as graceful as the crane. Its mysteries are locked within an unhinged golden chest. Who can track it down?

The Tao is not just in the CPU; for the CPU runs software of many sorts, and many of them are not games.

The Tao is not just in the graphics card; for the graphics card power many applications, and many of them are not games.

The Tao is not just within the programmer; for a programmer constructs the perfect program, harmonious with the rest of the operating system, and he carters to the needs of men from all four corners of the world.

The Tao is not just within the artist; for his creations is lifeless without the greatness of Ones and Zeroes.

The Tao is not just within the game designer; for though his design is wondrous, his ideas flawless, his game delightful, without others it would be just a paper prototype.

Where is the Tao then? Many seekers come, and here the chronicle of their quest begins.

Disclaimer: The Tao of Games Development is a paradoy.
