Daily updates for the site would be suspended for a while as I work on a site revamp. I have gotten feedback that the site’s purpose is rather ambiguous and I notice that (from the data) not many people are browsing through the backlog of seeds and ideas.

Please do feedback on in what ways the site could be included. See you in a week (or two!) time!

A gargoyle has attacked a group, consisting of the bailiff and a few guards, when the creature of stone attacks the party. The freeman deny all innocence – how would he be able to bring forth such a creature? Meanwhile, a group of witch-hunters study the situation calmly, determined to put the man and his family to the death if the claims can be substantiated.

  • Two mystics (or other psionic or magic-using class) were friendly rivals in their life-time. Both achieve adepthood at the same time, under the same oak tree and have ever since challenge each other to a series of friendly duels, complex logical problems and finally, the ultimate test, to see if by the powers of their minds alone would they be able to change the world.

When the time draw near for the two mystics to depart from this world, they struck a deal. Each of them, rather to head off to Nirvana, would send their soul into two massive trees, each far apart from each other. From there they would influence events with their powers to improve things for the better. And that they did. Soon, just recently, the boundary of the two forests met.

  • Among the ruins of the marbled temples of Emphdor there is an old crone, sitting by gigantic gates which lead into a great abode of vast halls and twisting passageways. She is the Keeper of Grief, and those who carries a sorrow too painful to endure could go to her, and she would take the grief away. Legends have that each grief removed becomes a lamenting spirit and is imprisoned behind the gate.

Each grief removed gives the suffer a short feeling of euphoria but a little of his or her soul is leeched away in form of a spirit. (In Dragon Warriors rule term, for each sorrow removed, the Keeper of Grief gains 1 permanent MP while the victim loses 1 MP, if he or she is a magic user). Sorry for missing the daily update yesterday – I was busy working on a new class for Dragon Warriors – the Seeker- when I notice that it is already past midnight and I need to head off the bed.

For this week, the adventure seeds’ theme will revert to a more down to earth, personal basis. Sometimes I think not all adventures have to be fantastical, epic and over-the-top “save the world” and “ancient evil” stuff. I’ll try to come up with seeds that have a more personal touch.

  • There has been talk of a ruined down manor house which no one has ventured near for years, even decades, but still seem to be tended to. Brave villagers who have sneaked near enough have spy a unkempt vegetable garden and a figure moving within the building. Without fail, at night, lights will shine through an antechamber at the top of the tower, and would be out by day.

  • For years, the graves of the Elsenidi House have been carefully tended to. Flowers of all seasons bloom in the area, while the grotto around it is devoid of weed and the grass trimmeded. The graves are located withn a desolate area in the hills, and hence the Elsenidi family only visit it once per year and the graves have been tended to for more than 120 years. Who have been tending to the garden?

This story has attracted the attention of bards and minstrels and is beginning to spread. Not wanting to be embroiled with rumors, or worse, the Church, the adventures are bought in to find out what is going on.
