• If there is a barbarian in the group (or a warrior who hails from similar tribal/clan background), one day he will find himself approached by a group of barbarian from another tribe. They have an unusual request. They want the barbarian and his friends to break into their clan’s family tomb.

The chieftain of the clan has just died suddenly and the succession are between two leaders with equal claim. No methods, be it duel by combat or an assembly, could satisfy either side. The solution: within the old ancestral tomb devoted the First King of the clan, there are three rune-stoneĀ  that are used for the purpose of divining the future. According to tradition, the casting those runes will determine the new Chieftain. The set which the clan has owned was lost among the years – but there is still one set within the ancestral tomb.

By tradition and laws, no one from the clan could set foot within the tomb. But the barbarian and his friends can..

    1. The old ancestral tomb is trap ladden and undying sentinels guard the tomb. Worse still, the site surrounding the tomb, an island, a barren island, was used in the past to send convicted criminals there to starve and die. The combination of a powerful burial site, vengenance of the spirits and the malice of the dead may have draw something powerful there…
    2. Not surprisingly, another group of adventurers, sent by the rival faction, is there to retrieve the three set of rune stones too. However, this time they really did break tradition – they consist of Elementalists and Barbarians from the actual clan itself! Between traps set within the tomb, the undead royal guard of the ancient King and a rival group who knows the turf well, how will they fare?
    3. The tomb is not accessible – resting on the high reaches of a cliff, within a cave carved into the mountain side itself. The route to the site is in fact through an abandoned mountain fortress. While exploring, the adventurers will realise that it was the site of a battle, and broken runic warding circles were everywhere. The party will finally realise why no one was forbidden here when they realise that something is stalking them in the dead, and that the supposedly buried king is still alive.
